Since my mom's arrival at Valley View, they have exemplified the best qualities I hope for in security personnel. They are vigilant, thoughtful, empathetic, and knowledgeable. Sadly, this weekend we lost our friend and co-worker, Jerry Freshko. Jerry worked at the Orange County municipal account as an Armed Guard and many of you had the pleasure of working with him. Jerry excelled at his job and he will be greatly missed by his Atlas family, our clients and the public he served so well. Rest in peace Jerry. Memorial visitation will be held on Friday, September 18th from 4-7:30PM at T.S. Purta Funeral Home, 22 Glenmere Ave., Florida, NY 10921. Memorial services will be held 7:30PM Friday evening at St. Joseph Church, 20 Glenmere Avenue, Florida, NY 10921.

Middletown police Officer Evan Barone, center, was released from Garnet Medical Center in the Town of Wallkill on Wednesday, Sept. 9, 2020, after undergoing surgery on his arm. Barone was shot in the left forearm after he was flagged down by a woman seeking help in a domestic incident Saturday...
