During this time, he was competing against world class axe throwers from all around the world remotely via Social Media. Storm has won entry to the Quarantine Axe Throwing League's #QATL The Elite 64 - 64 of the Worlds best throwers competing for a bid to #WATL's World Axe Throwing Championship. I take great pleasure in announcing, on behalf of Tristan Ledbury, Gavin Caissie and myself (with help and support from Mario Zelaya), the Spring 2020 QATL (Qua...rantine Axe Throwing League). Registration is NOW OPEN at https://forms.gle/Wqn193A8ukGPh3Ff8 - there is no limit to the number of players. Registration will close on Sunday, March 29 at 9pm EST. Week one commences as of Tuesday March 31, when the matches are posted (9pm EST at the latest) This is a full, 28 match league with playoffs, WATL format. It is open to all comers, whether you have thrown WATL or not. The only main requirement is that you have, or have access to, a WATL board which has at minimum, a WATL standard bullseye, and killshot, and a fault line 12 feet away. Scores will be tracked and reported in the WATL App, although there are no bids on the line here ;) There is no charge to register and participate in this league. Results: Ended within the #topeight , 5th place out of 82 competitiors. Not a bad start for the #first #tournament of the year. Overall standings: Since #competing this year, in a Non-WATL league, we are still unranked. Measuring current scores from the winter season against the field, we would 'debatably be 27th in the World Axe Throwing League, two spots shy of getting into the #WorldChampionship this season.
