Practices aren’t a finish line to be crossed, but a pattern and a lifestyle to build. We grow with our practiceschanging, adapting, and modifying to fit where we find ourselves in every step of our journeys. Every day is an opportunity to move closer in alignment with yourself and every moment is an opportunity to begin again. What are you creating space for as we finish the first week of the new year?... @morganharpernichols #barre3

Let’s reframe: What if we shifted our intentions away from how they look, to how they feel? What do you want to feel in the year ahead? Comment below

The New Year means the flood of New Year resolutions and how you are going to change. Goals are so important to set for yourself, but they should not be led by shame. We love this encouraging message from our CEO and co-founder Sadie. We highly recommend watching this before your next workout.

BABETTE PEREZ Tell us about your barre3 story! I've been a barre3 instructor for 2 years now! To be honest taking group classes was not something I was really interested in until my roommate back in DC told me about a workout studio she loved and that I should try called barre3. My first class was at barre3 14th with the amazing Lindsey McConnell and it fully changed my perspective. I finally found a workout that was challenging and motivating without enforcing shame but ins...tead focusing on my innate strengths. After that class I was hooked and became a part of an amazing barre3 community back in DC and after moving to NY, this last year I was welcomed with open arms by the incredible community here at Barre3 West Village! Where are you originally from? I'm a first generation american born in Bronx, NY but mostly grew up in NJ. The majority of my family is from Guatemala. What is keeping you sane during quarantine? Honestly, moving with barre3 and teaching has kept me sane and given me a sense of routine that is definitely lacking during quarantine. In addition to virtual happy hours with friends and our barre3 team has also been a great way to stay connected. What are 2 fun facts about yourself we may not know? I have a black-belt in tae-kwon-do! Growing up and to this day I'm very passionate about martial arts and it actually runs in my family. I used to be a competitive ballroom dancer! Back in college I started ballroom dancing and would compete in the mid-atlantic and northeast area. Babette is teaching our Saturday morning LIVESTREAM class at 10am on Saturday (10/10). Head to the link to register!
