WE NEED YOU!!!!!! Looking ahead to 2019, we will again send a Team Celiac to the Marathon. We have more spaces than we had last year, and we are seeking runners who would like to join this exciting effort and help raise money for the Center's vital work of research, treatment, education, and advocacy. If you have already qualified through NYRR's "9+1 Program," you will be welcome as an Affiliated Member. Please let Cynthia know, ASAP. Please join us!

CELIAC DISEASE CENTER CHOSEN TO PARTICIPATE IN THE 2019 TCS NEW YORK CITY MARATHON ON NOVEMBER 3! WE NEED YOU!!!!!! Looking ahead to 2019, we will again send a Team Celiac to the Marathon. We have more spaces than we had last year, and we are seeking runners who would like to join this exciting effort and help raise money for the Center's vital work of research, treatment, education, and advocacy.... The Center plans to provide support to cover registration fees as well as logo-designed tee-shirts for all our runners. In addition, we will create an individual page on our website where you can tell your story in print and video as well as keep track of your fund-raising efforts. (We work with NYRR to enable donations on your behalf through Crowd Rise.) Count on us to organize all Race Day details. We are planning to create a Community of Team Members who will meet regularly to share experiences, provide support, and generate enthusiasm for the Team, the Center, and the Race. We are pleased to announce that The Celiac Disease Center at Columbia University has been accepted as an Official Charity Partner of the 2019 United Airlines NYC Half Marathon! WE NEED YOU!!!!!! Looking ahead to 2019, we will send Team Celiac to the United Airlines NYC Half Marathon. We are seeking runners who would like to join this exciting effort and help raise money for the Center's vital work of research, treatment, education, and advocacy. Dear Patients & Families. Researchers at the Celiac Disease Center at Columbia University and Teachers College are conducting research on how families navigate celiac disease and the gluten free diet in their household. We are inviting you to participate because you may have a child that is a patient affiliated with the Celiac Disease Center at Columbia University. Participation includes a 1-2 hour interview with multiple family members and 3 brief surveys about your exp...erience with celiac disease. To be eligible to participate: The family has a child (8 - 18 years old) with physician-diagnosed celiac disease living at home and it has been at least one year since diagnosis. The child with celiac disease follows a gluten free diet. Family members are comfortable speaking in English Family members including children are willing to be interviewed to discuss their experience with celiac disease and following a gluten free diet. Interviews will occur separately. The parents of the child with celiac disease do not have celiac disease themselves. This study is only for those with a child (or multiple children) with celiac disease. Participants will receive $50 per family.
