Santa Claus is coming to Bay Shore and Brightwaters! The Bay Shore Fire Department will be bringing Santa around town on Saturday the 19th, starting at approximately 9am. Here is some information to help any questions you might have 1. Our first priority is responding to emergencies, often times Santa needs to leave to handle emergency calls but he always returns. 2. We break our district into 5 zones and send out 5 Santa’s at a time to cover the entire area. Because of this... we cannot post routes or exact times when Santa will be on your block. We make an attempt to drive every block in our district. If you live on a dead end or in a complex that might not be safe for Santa’s big trucks to navigate please go to the nearest intersection to wave hello. 3. We ask that you do not call the fire house dispatcher or 911 (happens every year) to ask where Santa is. The dispatcher will not have the exact location of Santa 4. Santa’s helpers will be handing out candy canes using all appropriate safety measures, masks and gloves. If you are comfortable having Santa leave a candy cane on your lawn you can come to the end of your driveway. If not, you can always wave hello from your front steps. 5. As always stay a safe distance as Santa approaches on the big trucks and please, for the safety of Santa and our volunteers do not follow Santa in your vehicles. And great news, if you miss Santa on Saturday our friends at Bay Shore Brightwaters Rescue Ambulance, Inc. will be escorting Santa around town on Sunday the 20th. Bay Shore Brightwaters Rescue Ambulance, Inc. Any Santa related questions can be messaged here and we will do our best to get back to you. We will see everyone on Saturday!!
