It is with an incredibly heavy heart that we announce the cancellation of our 2021 Casino Night Fundraiser Event. This was, but was not, a difficult decision. It is our responsibility to make informed and responsible decisions as an organization and to put the health of our BE uninTIMidated Family and the Community FIRST. The only difficulty with this decision is the sadness of not seeing all of the attendees and carrying on with the amazing tradition that we have establi...shed. We are hoping to pull together a "physically distanced", responsible, outdoor event for possibly the end of January 2021. Thinking of something fun where we can create awareness still but do so in small groups, again outside, that would be responsible and safe. The Wesley Family and BE uninTIMidated continue to work hard to carry forward with Tim’s wishes; to help save lives, create awareness about #AppendixCancer and help advance the detection of and treatment for this rare disease. Yesterday, Tim’s wife and daughters presented Wilmot Cancer Institute with a donation of $40,000.00 on behalf of Be uninTIMidated. Since 2012 we have donated over $250,000.00 to support his mission and those fighting #rarecancer Remember Tim’s words ...shortly after his diagnosis and the creation of this organization - if this is the cross I have to bear, then so be it. If I can help just one person, then this will all be worth it. He far exceeded this! If we continue to come together and do what we can and give what we can, we will continue to help SAVE LIVES. These moments take us back to when Tim was first diagnosed and told he had 12-18 months to live. What a wake up call it was... he, Denise, Skyler and Mackenzie very quickly realized what was most important. It was family and friends. It was spending time with those you love most. It was about loving so honestly and with such intent there would never be regrets. It was about kindness and paying it forward. It was about giving. Holding the door for a stranger. Smiling. Hugging. Doing a good deed for someone for no reason at all and not needing attention nor praise for it. It was goodness. He represented and lived by it for the rest of his days here on earth. DRUM ROLL PLEASE!!!! This pandemic didn't stop us from continuing the #FightAgainstCancer. Our 8th Annual Golf Tournament was a HUGE success! It was our biggest year ever... we raised over $11,700.00 with 108 Golfers in attendance. It was another amazing event to honor Tim Wesley and all that he has done to help so many people. His heart and wishes carry on and were evident in the events that took place throughout the day. So much love and so many people wanting to #P...ayItForward and that is what we will continue to do.
