The dry cows are taking full advantage of these cooler mornings to graze early then hunker down in the barn or float in the pond during the heat of the day. Last week, they got a little over zealous in the early morning hours and took an adventure through the neighborhood... needless to say, I prefer to see them right there where they’re supposed to be

This week, we hit a very exciting milestone on the farm! The first calf to ever be born here, Eve, had her first calf and it was a heifer! Halfway through milking Andy says oh by the way I think I got a decent pic of the sunrise this morning the whole sky was yellow. Not yellow but yes, my color blind friend, I’d call this pretty decent any day. I hope you all have a pretty decent Friday filled with gratitude for gifts like yellow sunrises.

The boys are working hard to build fence so we can have many more scenes like this next summer. Buffalo are tough on barns and fence so, we want to make sure we take the time and build it right so that we will have the infrastructure to graze for many many years to come! #grassfed #buffalopasture

Little guy, big world, bigger attitude

Opie. I’m pretty sure one day, this guy heard someone mentioning that the water buffalo were the coolest animals - to which he said hold my beer, watch this. Opie is truly THE coolest cat around. Is he a complete stalker? Yes. Is he a menace when your trying to work? Also yes. But he’s the chilliest bonfire hanging, buffalo chasing, mouse terrorizing barn cat that ever lived and he’s basically the farm mascot now. if you’ve been here, you know Opie and I’m pretty sure he’s got tabs on you as well. #adventuresofopiethecat
