Ok, let’s close our laptops and get in some climbing! We’ve got a #homeclimbchallenge for you, the Furniture Flash. Use any furniture in your home and try not t...o break your dinner table. Film it, post it, and nominate your friends! Let’s get creative, have some laughs, and as always, get weird. Make sure to tag your bloopers as well. BKB nominates @thecliffslic @centralrockgym @soill @metrorockclimbing @planetgranite @earthtreks @firstascentclimbing. We will get through this together! #bkblove #homeclimbchallenge
Hey BKB - just because we can’t get together, doesn’t mean we can’t be together. We all have been working to find ways to keep our community happy and healthy in these unprecedented times. Our team of fitness instructors and climbing coaches are revealing their alter egos as board game junkies, amateur chefs, storytellers, and more to virtually entertain and train with you. Check out our Brooklyn Boulders Live schedule to find some times to hang and train with everyone. We’re adding more activities DAILY so be sure to check back often. www.brooklynboulders.com/content-calendar
If you're looking for something fun to do at home, our friends at Contraband Ferments are hosting some online workshops - check them out! Also, keep any eye out for our monthly fermentation workshops at Queensbridge for when we reopen :) Be well

Following the request of USA Climbing, Brooklyn Boulders Queensbridge is canceling both the USAC Youth Local Sport Competition and Spring Crush Citizen Competition scheduled to take place on Saturday March 14th. Canceling this event in no way reflects BKB’s perception of the risks associated with visiting our gyms. BKB has taken significant actions to manage risk, including the stockpiling of hand sanitizers, cleaners and hospital grade disinfectants to last several months.... Our staff have also been given updated protocols that include such measures as encouraging all visitors to use hand sanitizers upon entry and throughout their visit. BKB has furthermore increased our facility cleanliness protocols with a focus on frequently disinfecting high use surfaces throughout the day. We appreciate your ongoing support of Brooklyn Boulders, and your support of our shared efforts to maintain safe space where the risk of disease transmission is controlled. Per the CDC, we are following the below preventive recommendations and encourage our community to do the same: -Stay home when you are sick. - Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after going to the bathroom; before eating; and after blowing your nose, coughing or sneezing. If soap and water aren’t available, use an alcohol-based sanitizer that is at least 60% alcohol, which have located throughout each facility. - Avoid close contact with people who are sick. - Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth. - Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash. - Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces using a regular household cleaning spray or wipe that we are providing.
