With the warmer weather, and with the sun higher in the sky during daytime hours as we approach the summer solstice, I suggest for most individuals modest sun exposure and a reduction in daily supplemental dose of vitamin D. While modest sun exposure is associated with an increased risk of skin cancer, for most individuals I believe the health benefits of modest exposure outweigh the health risks.
