The first place to start when qualifying a potential consumer for the program is to determine if they are on Medicaid, as it is a Medicaid only program. One of the more common confusions is the difference between Medicare and Medicaid and which program a potential consumer is enrolled in. We had a chance to speak with two wonderful people today within the BURD Home Health family. Sarah who is a consumer and Karen her caregiver. Through our home health program Karen has been able to vastly increase Sarah's quality of life not only physically, but mentally as well. Caring for a loved one can be extremely mentally taxing. We do our best at BURD Home Health to alleviate any mental exhaustion or frustration. Our consumer and caregiver experience is first priority. That is one of the reasons why every family is assigned a relationship manager who works directly with them to solve any and all needs. We don't look at ourselves as an agency, we're family too!
