The Highline.! One of NYC most well known outdoor spaces and currently open from noon to 8pm. Built on a historic, elevated rail line, the High Line is more than a park. Walk through gardens and art experiences all while enjoying a unique perspective of New York City. Originating in the Meatpacking District, the park runs from Gansevoort Street to the edge of 34th Street. Check it out!

Have you visited the Irish Hunger Memorial? Located directly across from the hotel The Memorial represents a rural Irish landscape with an abandoned stone cottage, stone walls, fallow potato fields and the flora on the north Connacht wetlands. It is both a metaphor for the Great Irish Famine and a reminder that hunger today is often the result of lack of access to land. The interactive memorial talks to you as you walk through and enjoy stunning views of One World Trade.

Little Italy is one of the most iconic neighborhoods in New York City. Traditional Italian eateries and bakeries are frequented by tourist and locals alike. The tenement buildings, once home to the immigrants who settled the area in the late 1800s, line the narrow streets. Mulberry Street, the main thoroughfare, has turned into a pedestrian walkway. @ziamarialittleitaly features hand made pasta from the great @giovannidimeco1! Among the incredible restaurants, @ziamarialittleitaly still stands out as a true gem!

The Andrew Haswell Green Park located on 60th and York is an elevated green space. The East River Roundabout sculpture, a massive aluminum helix, was attached to the skeletal roof supports and are reminiscent of a roller coaster. Overlooking the Queensboro Bridge and FDR, the hidden gem is often frequented by locals enjoying an outdoor workout or picnic. Visible form the Green Park, is the Roosevelt Island Tram - who’s entrance on the Manhattan side is located on 2nd Ave and 59th St. The tram runs every 7 minutes and takes 15 minutes to get to Roosevelt Island. The scenic route is a great way to enjoy and take in the skyline. Take this road less traveled route and experience a different NYC!

Conrad New York Downtown is situated just next to the Hudson River, the body of water you see in this video. The river flows almost entirely within the state of New York, the exception being its final segment. Named after Henry Hudson, the river’s history is fascinating; the original Erie Canal, opened in 1825 to connect the Hudson with Lake Erie, emptied into the Hudson at the Albany Basin. Enjoy the breeze, views, and boats along the shoreline, or from one of our Hudson River View Suites.
