Corbin Forum is hosting female led ACFT prep sessions! These are all inclusive, positive and judgement free zones where cadets, faculty and TACs can work together to improve ACFT scores. We completed our second session yesterday and it was a huge success! Attendees worked on events such as leg tucks, sprint drag carry, and hand release pushups. We would like to provide a huge shoutout to CDT Mallory Hirn (2022, B1) and CDT Kourtney Zeiler (2022, B1) for putting the event together!

Today we are excited to highlight another one of our Corbin Forum Cadet Leadership! Today we will be introducing Cadet Mallory Hirn! Mallory is one of the Cadets in Charge of the Corbin Forum's monthly Lean In Lunches. She plans, coordinates, and facilitates discussions about current topics relating to diversity, inclusion, and leadership. Mallory says she enjoys everything about Corbin Forum because it's such a great club, but what she loves most is "the Lean in Lunch Circles because they bring all kinds of people together to discuss and expand perspectives on many relevant issues that also apply to Army officership." Thank you Mallory for being such a great leader for our club!
This week we are excited to highlight our amazing Corbin Forum Cadet Leadership! First up is Cadet Felita Zhang! Felita is one of the Cadets in Charge of the Corbin Forum's monthly Lean In Lunches where cadets talk over lunch about various topics that are relevant to the Army and the world as a whole, such as diversity, inclusion, and equality. Felita says what she likes the most about Corbin is "The community, meaningful and thought-provoking discussions, and the ability to make an impact on both the people in the army and in the local community in terms of increasing equality and diversity! Also hearing the perspectives of people with very different backgrounds is extremely insightful and has really changed the way I look at different situations and make judgements" Thanks, Felita for being an amazing leader within Corbin Forum!
On 25 November 2019, Corbin Forum hosted the second Lean In Luncheon of the year! Our topic was "How to Make Stress Your Friend", since stress levels start to rise as finals approach. We highlighted that stress should not be seen as a bad thing, instead embraced and viewed in a more positive light, and that everyone can find a method of dealing with it. We concluded the luncheon with the designing and coloring of Thanksgiving turkeys! We based our discussion and activities off the TED Talk by Dr. Kelly McGonigal: https://www.ted.com//kelly_mcgonigal_how_to_make_stress_yo (Photo Credit: CDT Cheyenne Quilter, 2021)
Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Here is an awesome video created by LTC Mindy Kimball after our last Lean In discussion on "How to Make Stress Your Friend". It features colorful creations from both cadets and faculty, as coloring pages are a great way to destress! More photos from the event will be coming soon!
