To all the Women & Men who have served in our armed forces, we THANK YOU! . . : Bernardino Villasenor (paternal grandfather) was drafted into the U.S. Army at the age of 19 in 1943 and served as a Medic-Aid Man under General Patton until 1945, during World War II. As a trained Medic in Mustard Gas Specialists, his efforts saved the lives of many wounded who were ultimately sent to the U.K. and U.S. for further treatment. During the Liberation of France, his detachment lan...ded on Utah Beach during the invasion of Normandy, serving just behind the front lines, marching through Paris. His detachment was responsible for the Liberation of Buchenwald concentration camp, where he was one of the first on site to offer care to the sick and wounded. He received multiple honors for his service including: The European African Eastern Theater Ribbon with Three Bronze Stars, the American Theater Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal, World War II Victory Medal, and the medal of Knight in the French Legion of Honor. : US Army Lieutenant Colonel (Retired), Consuelo Castillo Kickbusch (mentor) - After graduating from Hardin Simmons University, Consuelo entered the U.S. Army as an officer and served for two decades. During that time, she broke barriers and set records in the military where she became the highest-ranking Hispanic woman in the Combat Support Field of the U.S. Army. When the opportunity arose to assume a command post, Consuelo shocked the military by deciding to retire. She chose to honor her mother’s dying wish for her to return to her roots and become a community leader. : Robert Rocha (maternal grandfather) was inducted to the Army in 1951 and drafted into service in 1953, during the Korean War. He trained in Fort Bliss Chicago for twenty-one months before being sent back to San Antonio, Texas. He remembers his service in the military fondly saying, I enjoyed it very much, it was an adventure. See more

The coronavirus threatens to unleash a retail apocalypse on New York City, having already shuttered scores of beloved neighborhood eateries and other businesses facing unfulfillable rent payments and a lack of aid from the federal government.

The Law Office of Crystal R. Villasenor, PLLC 10.08.2020

Governor Andrew M. Cuomo today signed an Executive Order extending the state's moratorium on COVID-related commercial evictions and foreclosures through January 1. This measure extends protections already in place for commercial tenants and mortgagors in recognition of the financial toll the pandemic has taken on business owners, including retail establishments and restaurants. The extension of this protection gives commercial tenants and mortgagors additional time to get bac...k on their feet and catch up on rent or their mortgage, or to renegotiate their lease terms to avoid foreclosure moving forward. "The health and economic impacts of this pandemic have been devastating, and we are continuing to do everything we can to support people who are suffering," Governor Cuomo said. "We are going to extend the commercial eviction and foreclosure moratorium through January 1st. That will now align with our residential eviction moratorium so they are both extended to the same date."
