It's getting spooky around here.
Happy Friday! We hope you spend your weekend doing something you enjoy, like how a young Glenn Curtiss enjoyed bicycle racing. If the thing you enjoy happens to be visiting your favorite museum (and we hope it is), we are open from 10-4 all weekend! : A promotional photo of Glenn taken around 1898. Curtiss Museum Collection.
It may not be the best riding weather, but it is the perfect weather to come check out our collection of motorcycles, including this unrestored 1908 Curtiss motorcycle. We are open daily from 10-4!

You do not want to miss this - stop by this week before it’s gone for good!
Such an incredible story behind a new item in the Cradle of Aviation Museum’s collection!

Between 1903 and 1912, The Curtiss Manufacturing Co. offered a wide variety of Curtiss brand motorcycles and accessories to the public. This included carburetors, sparkplugs, tool kits and even a Curtiss brand motor oil. Aside from the standard single and twin cylinder motorcycles, special built cycles were also included at various times to add variety. In 1903 Curtiss offered a tandem motorcycle with a choice of either a single or two-cylinder engine. Sales that year were poor for the model, and he discontinued it while still offering a conversion kit for standard motorcycles in its place.
