A path to citizenship is that much closer for Dreamers- undocumented immigrants brought to the U.S. as children, now that Congress can pass legislation without being stuck.

Breaking News!! The Court today set aside Chad Wolf’s July 2020 memo. This means the government must: 1 Reopen the #DACA program to first-time applicants, 2 Return the period of protections to two years 3 Make Advanced Parole available to DACA recipients again without restrictions.... #victory #DACA

Did you know, that up until 2010, immigrants with HIV were inadmissible into the United States? Prior to this final rule, aliens with HIV infection were considered to have a communicable disease of public health significance and were thus inadmissible to the United States per the Immigration and Nationality Act. Aliens now are no longer required to undergo HIV testing as part of the required medical examination to immigrate.... However, recent changes to the public charge rule would now allow United States Citizenship and Immigration Services(USCIS) to deny an individual admission to the country on health-related grounds, including a variety of illnesses that often impact people living with HIV. These changes undermine the ability of immigrants living with HIV to meet their health care needs. It is vital that the incoming administration rescinds the changes to the public charge rule. We need to end HIV stigma and discrimination. #WorldAIDSDay #endhivstigma

Great news! Federal court ruled that the acting Homeland Security secretary, Chad Wolf was unlawfully appointed, thus invalidating DACA rules he signed. This could mean that the government is now required to process first-time DACA applications, two-year renewals, and advance parole requests. This victory is just the beginning. We need to demand that the next administration, through Congress, creates a path to citizenship for Dreamers.... #DACA #dreamers #immigration See more
