Reported smoke in a building, 110 West 4th Street, Landon's Pub. Chief 19, Engine 33, Ladder 29, and Rescue 56 assigned.

Reported electrical fire in a residence , 2829 Irelandville Road, Chief 19, Engine 33, and Tanker 31 assigned. Situation reported under control, codes and red cross have been requested.

Reported control point fire on a power line, 3150 SR 329. Chief 19 and 19-5 assigned. Road is closed. Avoid area and find alertnate routes.

Smell of smoke, possible electrical fire. 518 4th Street, Cargill Salt. Engine 33, Ladder 29, Deputy Chief 195 and Chief 19 assigned and on location.

Reported to truck rollover at 4th and S Madison Ave. Chief 19, Rescue 56, and Engine 33 on the scene reporting minor injuries. Crews are working to stabilize the vehicle. Roads in the area have been shut down and detours posted. Avoid this area if it all possible.

Building Fire, 2900 block of County Line Road. Car 19-1, Engine 33 and Rescue 56 on the scene with a working fire. Task force has been requested.

Due to COVID-19 regulations the Watkins Glen Fire Company was unable to hold its annual Christmas party for the members and there kids. So this year with the help of Santa we were able to deliver the gifts for our members kids at there homes. Putting smiles on our members kids is what it’s all about. Thank you to all involved.

Confined Space Training tonight. This will wrap up our combined Tech Rescue Training with Montour Falls FD for 2020. Great team work by all. More training to come in 2021.

Official Press Release: At 1629 hours on 11/5/20 the Watkins Glen Fire Department was alerted by the Schuyler County 911 Center to a possible commercial structure fire near 4th and Decatur Streets. First arriving Chief was at 1630 and reported heavy smoke and fire from the southeast side of a single, two, and 3 story connective structure. First arriving engine company was 16:33 hours. Engine 33 was ordered to secure a water source at 3rd and Franklin and deploy two initial at...tack lines. A secondary water source was established by Rescue 56 and Ladder 29 with assistance from Montour Falls Truck 5 and Engine 16 at 4th and Decatur Streets. Further manpower assistance was requested and provided by Odessa, Tyrone, and the Burdett Fire Departments. The structure was used primarily for storage and was damaged heavily on the first and second floors where firefighters made a stop of the fire spread. The fire was considered under control by 1715 hours with a significant amount of overhaul to be completed. Official cause of the fire is listed as accidental. All units were placed into service at 1940 hours with no injuries reported. Assisting at the scene was the Village of Watkins Glen Police Department, Village of Watkins Glen Electric, and Schuyler County Emergency Management Office. See more
