Today, members of the DeWitt Police Benevolent Association and DeWitt Police Department took place in the First Responders Children's Foundation Toy Express by helping Santa deliver large bags of donated toys and gift cards to families throughout the area. We would like to thank CSX and the other sponsors shown for all of their support to make this event happen. We wish you all a Merry Christmas and Happy Holiday season!
Attention Jamesville residents, we need your help! The JES Cares program at the Jamesville Elementary School is seeking gift card donations to provide to families that need a little extra help this Holiday season. The cards will allow families the opportunity to buy whatever they need such as food, clothes, hygiene items, diapers, etc. Unfortunately, the turnout thus far has not been enough to support all those that will need it and the deadline is this Wednesday, December 9...th. The Dewitt PBA supports our local community and we want to help by spreading the message! Donations of gift cards to stores such as Walmart, Wegmans, Tops, Amazon, etc. can be dropped off to the school anytime before the 9th at the front office, sending them in with a student, or placing them in the white locked drop box outside the main entrance to the building. If you can’t get to the school in time, message the Dewitt PBA and we will work with you to make this happen! In this year especially, we want to do all that we can to ensure that all families have what they need to have a safe, happy, and prosperous Holiday season. Let’s overwhelm the school with gift card donations and show them how the Jamesville community can come together in a time of need!

The Dewitt PBA would like to honor and thank all Military Veterans for their service to our nation! Some of the members of the Dewitt Police Department have served in the Cold War, Desert Storm, Somalia 1993, Civil Support after the 9/11 Attacks, Operation Iraqi Freedom, Guantanamo Bay Cuba, Operation Enduring Freedom (Afghanistan), and numerous other places throughout the United States and internationally. These members continue to serve our local community today and we thank you for your dedicated service!
