It is World Suicide Prevention Day. Be aware. Have the Suicide Prevention Lifeline in your phone. I have had 3 people call me when they were struggling. I was able to access it and provide it in the moment 1-800-273-8255. Also have the Crisis Text Line readily available 741741. This was developed with the thought that adolescents and young adults text more and may feel more comfortable reaching out via text. I have lost two cousins to suicide, a best friend has lost a brother and brother-in-law, and an employee has lost an aunt. It is in everyone's life. Be keen and sharp to it, be there for people in your lives. Be conscious of stigmatizing.
