WE SALUTE THOSE ON THE FRONT LINES To all building service employees in our industry: WE THANK YOU! Building service employees have demonstrated extraordinary commitment to the residents of buildings throughout the metropolitan area during this crisis. Their stalwart dedication serves as an example to us all. Sadly, like many residents of New York and the country, we have lost building service employees to this dreadful virus. We extend our heartfelt sympathy to their families. #covid19 #nyc #heroes #thankyou #frontlines #coops #condos #rentals #apartmentbuildings @ New York City
Happy Easter Weekend! Throwback to last year’s Easter Parade on Fifth Avenue. We’ll miss gathering together this year, but our social distancing is working: we are flattening the curve! Stay home...stay safe...stay healthy. We continue to work with all our properties to protect residents and staff while keeping building services available. Be sure to speak to your manager about whether your building should apply for funds under the Payroll Protection Act and/or the CARES Act. #flattenthecurve #stopthespread #easter #easterparade #fifthavenue #spring

Our in-house seminars keep managers up to date on the changes in our industry. That’s one of many reasons that we have the best managers in the industry and they stay with us for decades!
It's imperative that all buildings begin nowif they have not alreadyto learn about their current energy efficiency level and to plan and begin to implement a long-term strategy of compliance in order to avoid paying fines when the enforcement period begins in 2025. Fines will be $268/ton of carbon generated excess to building’s budget. The goal of reducing emissions is a worthy one, but it will certainly take time, effort and significant investment. At DEPM, we will work continuously with our building boards and owners to help meet these requirements as they continue to evolve. For more information on this legislation, visit this link: https://council.nyc.gov/data/green/
Keeping up with New York City’s ever-changing building regulations is a full-time job. That’s why our compliance department is constantly on top of new Local Laws and other safety issues that impact the properties we manage.
