This year certainly was not what we expected, but I feel there have been many opportunities to learn. For me, the greatest area of growth was in my ability to practice patience. During 2020 the world just moved slower. People were adjusting to a way of life that we could never have predicted. The way we move through our days is new and requires conscious awareness. We needed to be cognizant of everything and everyone around us. I feel like I learned to be more patient with... what I expect of myself and others. Life does not always go as planned. What have you learned this year? _______ #Patience #ChiefHeartOfficer #CHO #BusinessGoals #Journaling #Leadership #LeadershipDevelopment #LeadershipGuide #Journal #Reflection

Each team member at @PortXLogistics is given a business journal to use daily. My goal is to help them to use it as a recording of their daily, monthly, yearly successes and challenges. There is a lot that can happen in a day. We cannot manage it all at once. When you take a moment to bullet point some notes, you can go back and reflect. When your life and work are purposefully designed, you know where you have come from and where you are going. Having goals and a plan will l...ead to a more satisfying and joyful life. Using a business journal is a way of recording your life story. Life seems to be moving at an accelerated pace. You don’t want to miss the good stuff. Each day take a moment to reflect, record, and consider if your life and work are going in the direct way you choose. As CHO, I guide each member of the team. I help them to create a plan for their lives and work. I encourage them to overcome challenges and to look fears straight in the eye. I inspire them to write their story. ________ #ChiefHeartOfficer #CHO #BusinessGoals #Journaling #Leadership #LeadershipDevelopment #LeadershipGuide #Journal #Reflection This approach supports each team member in a well-rounded way. _______

We doubt and question who we are because of the constant chatter of our internal critic, but being human is more than our negative thoughts and feelings of self doubt. When we quiet the internal voice, accept our mistakes and celebrate our successes, we begin to accept who we are as humans bringing a feeling of peace and joy. Accept your humanness.... ______ #ChiefHeartOfficer #CHO #Leadership #LeadershipGuide #LeadershipCoach #LeadershipDevelopment #Growth #Learning #opportunities #SelfLove See more

What are you thankful for this year? Take a moment and pause this Thanksgiving season to think about what you are most thankful for. It has been a challenging year, but there are plenty of good moments to be celebrated. Reach out to family and friends and tell them how they have added to the meaning of your life. Share love, kindness and compassion. I am most grateful for all the beautiful people who have added love, essence, and purpose to my life. ... _____ #Thanksgiving #Thankful #GiveThanks #ChiefHeartOfficer See more

Journaling is an important part of my life and a key process in working with my clients. Sitting quietly to reflect on your thoughts, feelings, goals and achievements allows you to put life into perspective. It allows you to see where you have been and where you are going. When I begin my work with a new client, I ask them to write down their current version of their personal story. The process I use has my clients divide a sheet of paper in half. On one side of the page the...y write down the most memorable positive life events. On the opposite page they write about the most memorable negative events. What emerges from this reflective process is an outdated version of one’s personal story. Each client I have taken through this process begins to realize that what they believe about themselves is based upon others judgments, labels and false assumptions. The next step is to help each client retell their personal story from their current reality. I guide them toward realizing their goodness, strengths, and potential. Do you journal? How do you know you are living your best life? How do you track your success and reflect upon your failures? I encourage all of my clients' journal and you should too. #Journaling #LeadershipDevelopment #ChiefHeartOfficer
