This year’s #PlungeForElodie has made quite the splash! Supporters all around the world have taken the plunge and raised over $200,000 for critical research to #healEB. As Elodie’s mom Emily says here, research is the way out of this disease. We are so grateful to everyone who has donated, plunged, and shared this movement. But, our mission is not over yet. We’ll keep plunging until we find a cure for Elodie, her friends living with EB, and in memory of those who have unfortunately lost their battle with this devastating disease, like Sophia, who the event honored this year. 4-year-old Elodie Kubik, the inspiration behind the #PlungeForElodie, was born with RDEB. On a daily basis, Elodie must endure more than any young child ever should - eating complications, doctor visits, wounds, painful bandage changes, bleach baths (pictured here) and more. Even still, Elodie's adorable demeanor is unfazed - she thrives at school, loves all things princess, has a burgeoning sense of humor, and is the best older sister to her brother Gus. In short, she is the sweetest little girl in the world. We could all learn so much from this beautiful 4-year-old warrior.
