ATTENTION, Families: This week, Superintendent Alicea presented a plan to the Board of Education that allows for students to return to school for more days of i...n-person learning. Both Onondaga County Health Department and the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) have provided guidance that decreases the recommended space between students from six feet to three feet. This change allows us the space to bring more students safely into each classroom. If you are more comfortable with the remote model, we will continue to offer synchronous remote learning at all grade levels as an alternative option. This year, ELMS student Samaia Goodrich founded Girls Loving Ourselves Worldwide (GLOW), a global initiative intended to let every girl in the world know that s...he is valued and valuable. I want to make sure that girls understand that no matter where they come from, what they look like or what people think about them, they are beautiful in their own skin, Samaia explained. I really want people to understand and see that black and brown girls are beautiful on the inside and outside, and that we are smart, caring human beings who have a lot to offer and help change the world through our gifts and abilities. REMINDER...ELMS First Friday Drive-Thru-For-Success Round 2! 100% Virtual students arrive between 1:00-2:00 on Friday, Oct. 2 to receive your bucket of supplies for the month of October. Hybrid students will receive their buckets on the first day they arrive in the building. Pod A on Monday and Pod B on Thursday. ... We can't wait to see our virtual students!

This year the saying We are Crew, not passengers took on a whole new meaning as our students and staff transitioned to online learning during the Covid-19 Pandemic. Even with all the changes surrounding us, we knew that we still wanted to have an expedition, and We Are Crew: A School-Wide Expedition was born!
