Join us at 5:00 PM (EDT) for an interactive, multi-media presentation with Wick Poetry Center Director David Hassler. David will share poems, stories, and videos from the award-winning Traveling Stanzas community arts program that seeks to bring poetry to everyday lives through innovative digital tools and interactive exhibits. Drawing from a wide range of projects, Hassler will share how poetry can be used as a powerful tool to empower people of all ages to make meaning of their lives and deepen their sense of belonging. This interactive presentation will include time for us all to pause and reflect on our lives, to feel renewed and inspired, and to share our voices to the Global Peace Poem in celebration of 100 years of the English-Speaking Union.

It’s hard to believe our ARNIC winter class session comes to a close today! Although this session looked very different than normal, our fully virtual classes were a success. We are very proud of our hard working students, and of course we’re extremely thankful for the tireless support of our tutors and volunteers! The next session of classes begins on March 29th. Since its inception in 1928, the Secondary School Exchange (SSE) program has allowed thousands of students to expand their horizons academically and culturally by studying at schools in the UK. This merit based scholarship has profoundly effected the trajectory of many students - many alumni of all ages credit the program for expanding their educational path and building life long friendships. Have you participated in SSE? We want to hear your story! http://www.esuus.org/esu.../activities/100-years-100-stories/ [Image: SSE scholars Lainey Battiston, Erika Teahan and Jessica Hillman in 2012] #ESUUSA #gapyear #studyabroad #UK #ssescholarship #meritbasedscholarship #100Years100Stories

Based at Windsor Castle, the members of The Queen's Six make up half of the Lay Clerks of St. George's Chapel, whose homes lie within the Castle walls. The Chapel Choir, which consists of boy trebles and twelve professional adult male singers, performs some eight services a week, as well as at private and state occasions, often before the Royal Family. In 2018, their duties with the Chapel Choir included singing for the wedding of Prince Harry and Ms. Meghan Markle, now The Duke and Duchess of Sussex. For this special digital program, members of The Queen's Six will be talking about their experiences as Lay Clerks and of Windsor Castle during the holidays. They will also present some of their arrangements of yuletide classics and answer your questions. Registration is free for all ESU Members and Guests!

Join Hilary Davidson at 6:00 PM EST for an engaging talk on early nineteenth century fashion in Jane Austen's novels. Asking the question: But what did people in this period really wear? How would Austen, her family and her characters have dressed as they moved through the countryside, villages and cities of late Georgian England? This lecture explores the world of Regency clothing to bring to life the fashionable communities behind Austen's immortal words, based on years of new research in archives and museums.
This is an old-fashioned radio play in the genre of the 1930's and 1940's Sam Spade Detective Radio Plays but with a modern-day twist. This will be a live production with professional actors performing a mystery comedy titled, "The Case of the Missing Parents." Listeners will hear the actors perform, just like the old radio plays.
