It's a time when we celebrate the important role medical imaging and radiation therapy professionals play in patient care and health care safety. At Excelsior, we're blessed with a great team of "X-ray Techs." Their talent, experience, hard work and dedication are critical to the quality of care we deliver to our patients day in and day out.

Very excited to "officially" cut the ribbon today to mark the grand opening of our new physical and occupational therapy center in downtown Buffalo. We were honored to be joined by Buffalo Mayor Byron Brown for the event. Our new downtown PT/OT center is located on the first floor of the Main Court building at 438 Main Street. Each year, 1 in 3 people (12 million) in the U.S. aged 65 and older will suffer a fall, and most are preventable. In an effort to significantly lower that number by preventing falls, the American Physical Therapy Association leads an annual initiative on the first day of Fall to help education the community on fall risk and prevention. On Wednesday, Alanna Pokorski, Excelsior's Director of Physical and Occupational Therapy and Johanna Studer, one of our great therapists visi...ted the Clarence Senior Center and spent some time there teaching seniors about fall prevention, and did an individual "Falls Risk Assessment" for all those who attended. Alanna and Johanna shared how physical therapy has been shown to improve balance and strength, and that it is never too late on life to make improvements in both - lowering the risk of taking a fall.

It includes state-of-the-art rehabilitation equipment and offers comprehensive physical and occupational therapy services for patients of all ages who are either recovering from an orthopaedic su...rgical procedure or pursuing therapy as an alternative to surgery. It's official...the newest members of the Excelsior team joined us today. We're excited to welcome Dr. Christopher Keating (left photo) and Dr. Daniel Vargo (right photo). Dr. Keating is a board qualified podiatrist who provides a wide range of podiatric care and has extensive training in the treatment of foot and ankle conditions.... Dr. Vargo is a board eligible orthopaedic surgeon who treats all musculoskeletal conditions of the lower extremities hips and knees. Both are accepting new patients.
