These guys got some Fernweh Farm merch from Santa
Hi Guys! If you need any last minute Christmas gifts, I've set up an online shop to order some Fernweh Farm embroidered apparel. I would love it if everyone had at least one Fernweh Farm polo shirt to wear for future outings but it's not a requirement. Shipments usually take about 7-10 business days so there is still time to order & receive your items in time for Christmas! ... Shop all embroidered apparel & accessories today and take $15 off $60, $25 off $80, or $40 off orders of $100 or more. There is no minimum purchase required for checkout! https://fernwehfarmli.qbstores.com/SF20C09
Another successful day of horseshowing for our crew, We are so proud of all these girls
I am a lesson horse. I am a horse that isn’t as recognized as the top hunter jumpers, the best western pleasure horse, or the 1D barrel horse, I am a lesson horse. I am the backbone of the foundation to do all of those things. I am a lesson horse. I am not loved by one person. I am loved by several people. I don’t have my person, I have my people. I am a lesson horse. ... I will teach your child and yourself more than just to ride. I will bring your child out of their shell. I will teach your child about life. I will be yours and their shoulder to cry on. I am a lesson horse. I will bring my family the joy of teaching kids. I will bring my families business growth. I am so loved by my family, even if they don’t express it everyday. My family allows others to show me love and enjoy me. I am a lesson horse. At the end of your childs’ journey on a lesson horse, they will out grow me. They will find one that jumps higher, a horse that is show quality, a horse much faster than me. But, I will never outgrow being a lesson horse. I will be the one that loved your child and helped your child grow into the rider and person they are. I am a lesson horse. At the end of my time as a lesson horse; I will be covered in grey hair. Each grey hair came from each hour I spent as a lesson horse. I will be in a field of green grass, I will be taken care of as I was when I was a lesson horse. I will watch your child from across the pasture love her new horse. But, I will love your child more than any horse can. I will be the backbone of the business, the family, and your child. Don’t forget about me, I am a lesson horse. I am a lesson horse. *words stolen from a friend*
Karen is having a great time with both Joker & Pacman at the Rob West Equine Development clinic.
Rainy days won’t ruin our group lesson fun! We like our students to be well rounded, which includes having knowledge of their horses anatomy & teaching them exercises they can do off the horse to improve their riding. (Disclaimer: please excuse Jokers awful hair style, that was not on purpose )
In July of 2018, a friend and fellow trainer in the industry called me and told me about this wonderful old mare that just needs a job and some love but she didn’t have the space to take her in, and was hoping I would. Me, being a sucker for older horses...I took her in, fattened her up and fell in love immediately. She was a saint with our smallest of riders, and a challenge for our more experienced ones. She was patient and gentle and kind, with the occasional sass and ...spunk of a 2 year old. She was everything a trainer wants in a lesson horse and more. Today, Surrounded by love, she crossed the rainbow bridge, leaving a giant hole in my heart and huge shoes to fill. I am so thankful for her, more than she’ll ever know. I’m also beyond thankful for my clients who loved her like she was theirs, Carolyn Jolly & her staff at hidden pond for taking the absolute best care of her and the rest of my herd. And my Vet for being there, being patient and thorough and helping me make the right decision. Rest in peace Diamond
Wednesdays are for Western riding
Is it sunday yet? We’re ready for another horse show!
Our crew cleaned up well again today
Mick & Mazey enjoyed the cooler weather today!
Our group lessons don’t always consist of just riding. We strive to teach our students to be confident on and off the horse & create trust and teamwork! We are so thankful to our host farm Hidden Pond Stables for providing us a fun, safe, knowledgeable environment to run our lesson program.
Yet another successful show at Hidden Pond Stables. We are so proud of our hardworking horses & students!
Another lovely week at the farm
Such a beautiful day at Hidden Pond. Caroline & Merlot did wonderfully in their cross-rail hunters class, taking home two 2nds and two 3rds.
