In exchange for leaving, the 20 residents of ‘Camp Teddy,’ named after one of the occupants, will begin a process that will eventually get them into nine now-vacant houses in Strawberry Mansion. Several of the people experiencing homelessness will themselves work on the rehabilitation of the houses. This response in Philly is one example of activists and government working together to house unhoused residents.
