I am sorry I have been somewhat MIA recently. But as we all know the world has been turned upside down recently. I want to reach out to not only my patients, but family, friends and the general public. With all that is happening, many are suffering both behind doors and publicly. Although #socialdistancing is critical right now, it can cause more #anxiety in people or give anxiety to those who don’t even know it. #isolating can be soul crushing for many. Often times, you will find us posting success stories, but behind the scenes there are also many heartbreaks. Treating infertility is so very rewarding, but also weighs heavy when it doesn’t go how we planned. When you get the message that your patient is pregnant, there are no words. But when that same patient calls back and tells you the pregnancy isn’t viable or that they had a miscarriage, there are also no words. Thats the definition of the highest highs and lowest lows.... This post is just a reminder to be kind and understanding of any couple struggling with having children. You never know the loss they had, or the pregnancy test thats always negative, or retrieval that had no eggs. Most times, they suffer in silence and shouldn’t have to.
