Grove Brook Farm

Yesterday we received our first batch of broilers(meat birds) and we have 150+ healthy little critters thanks to Ridgeway Hatchery out of Ohio, these birds will have an excellent life outside on pasture with space, flexibility, fresh air and sunshine. We will be doing another batch at some point in the beginning of July so if you are interested dont hesitate to let us know or stop by to see the birds and the process of how we raise them. We do need to know as soon as possible if you would like us to raise some for you or your family so I can order them ahead of time. If you miss the opportunity you can always put in an order for next summer

About 2 weeks ago we got our faithful laying hens back out on the pasture, they were very excited to be able to fluff in the dirt and scratch for bugs and worms along with eating all the tender grass shoots coming up, they are on a 4-5 day rotation with each paddock fertilizing and scratching the ground up to stimulate and leave a better quality stand of forage behind them. If you havent had a chance to try some of these great eggs stop by and grab some.
