Hayloft on the Arch 09.12.2020

Hey! We’re still here While the world has gone a little nuts we decided to take a little hiatus. Although we haven’t had an event take place onsite this season, that doesn’t mean we kicked back and relaxed much. It’s been the opposite really; along with rescheduling six months of events and booking so many new couples for 2021 and 2022, we have been completely renovating the property next door so we can live on-site , homeschooling Wyatt (no, like really homeschooling, not distant learning through the school ), knocking out some of those hunny-do lists that we can’t get to during event season, and of course finding time to hang with our new crew , oh yeah & we planted this corn field . Can you find Elle’s sweet little smile?

We pride ourselves on following the rules, not cutting corners & doing what’s right. We’ve always worked closely with our town and government officials to be sure we’ve been up to code, have proper licensing & any other necessities in place as to not risk the safety of guests or our business. We’ve waited months for some kind of direction from the state as to how we can safely open our doors to weddings this year. The strict regulations we are expected to follow during thi...s pandemic are horrifying (50 person max; regardless of building capacity & no dancing are the worst of them). Although we don’t agree with the regulations, we have no choice but to follow them or else face major fines from the State or have the property’s liquor license pulled. These regulations have cost us majority of our 2020 event season, leaving us now with an event lineup in the single digits. It’s hard to see the property sit empty week after week, and what was supposed to be someone’s wedding day, pass by with no celebrations. . @larkinandtrevor See more

I’ve never had a more exhausting wedding season and we haven’t even seen our first wedding yet. I go from feeling nauseous to a lump in my throat and my heart aching thinking of my 2020 clients and what they’re going through, along with all our of vendors who are more like our summertime family. We can’t thank our couples enough who have shown us such grace while we navigate these strange times and the uncertainties ahead. . @larkinandtrevor
