Gusty winds and snow showers are expected at times today through Tuesday morning. Wind Advisories are in effect for portions of eastern NY/western New England t...oday, with some wind gusts possibly reaching 50 mph. Snow showers and Lake Effect snow will also occur, especially tonight, with Lake Effect Snow Warnings and Winter Weather Advisories in effect for portions of the region. From National Grid.... a gas line near the SUNY Campus in the Town of Marcy was purged this afternoon. This was part of the new construction at the Cree facility. Winds out the west have carried the odor to the east settling in the valley area. National Grid says the odor should dissipate overnight.
