Monday Morning Motivation: There is a light at the end of the tunnel, but the tunnel is wavy. Sharing this morning’s GORGEOUS sky as it appeared over our Hilton property as our day shift arrived and the overnight shift left. The sky made us think of that quote about the light at the end of the tunnel - our Nicotra Team was talking about this quote a lot last week.... We heard that gem of a quote on a hospitality webinar, and it resonated with us. We will travel this tunnel together. As a Team. As a community. And we will find that light, together. We just LOVE this post shared by James, a recent guest! James realized he didn’t have a card for a wedding he was attending. Our Hilton Garden Inn has an array of greeting cards in our 24 hour Shop, located in our lobby! But when our Guest Service Agent Nancy heard of the very SUPER FUN Batman themed wedding, she insisted James needed a Batman themed wedding card to match! ... Since there was no time for him to travel to a store Nancy thought fast and offered to MAKE one! Well James loved that and was so appreciative, sharing a rave review on social media. This is just the perfect example of Hilton’s #Brighthearted Hospitality! A special visit this guest will never forget. P.S. - We hear that the card Nancy hand crafted is now hanging up on the groom’s office wall! Today is our 19 year anniversary. We love our guests, we love our team, and we LOVE Staten Island.

Possibly the two most important words this year - and there are no words that can adequately capture how we feel about our Hilton Garden Inn (Staten Island) and Hampton Inn & Suites by Hilton Staten Island Houskeeping Team and their CONSTANT attention to cleaning and sanitizing areas for our guests and our Nicotra Team. Lois & Richard Nicotra have expressed deep gratitude to those who worked through this unprecedented time - and this week, as we ta...ke a moment to mark the traditional Housekeeping Week, we say THANK YOU again and celebrate the Team that saw us through a VERY unsettling 6 months. Hilton’s CleanStay program roll out at the Nicotra’s properties is only possible because of the leadership of Maria Chiaracane, Assistant General Manager and Head of Housekeeping, Miguel Rodriguez, Housekeeping Area Supervisor, and their clean team. We are grateful.

We have weathered storms before...LOVE always wins! Happy 9th Wedding Anniversary to Valerie Mae Cruz Forin and her umbrella holding Hubbie! Valerie wrote: I love the Nicotras! They stopped to say hello during our wedding at their beautiful venue despite the hurricane causing chaos outside, 9 years ago today! I don’t have a picture with the Nicotras, but this one says it all! Hurricane Irene left her mark on our wedding but we had an epic time! ... THIS is the story our Hilton Garden Inn (Staten Island) venue...a thousand love stories, told one beautiful event at a time. We will weather every storm.

We love our guests, we love our employees and we miss our full restaurant business.
