STH WEDNESDAY MORNING UPDATE The recent warm weather has taken its toll on the STH trail system. In the woods you’ll find that the warmer temperatures did open ...up the few water holes that we had even more. The lower trails will show some thin spots too. Our trails remain 100% open but this Saturday’s weather doesn’t look promising either. We need everyone to not stop doing the snow dance!! We need more snow! Our seasonal roads around the Highmarket and Swancott Mills area remain in good condition, but please be aware of icy corners. As you can see, Camp 4 still has a nice base to it! For right now, it’s best to park around the Highmarket area at the following locations: -Barrows Performance Inc. -Highmarket inn -State lots on Michigan Mills Rd and Smith Rd -Tug Hill Hideaway Today STH will send a groomer to Highmarket and test the conditions in that area before the weekend. STH Tuesday PM Update: A few STH volunteers worked hard to hook up drags and check out the snow conditions. They reported 6-12" plus throughout our system and d...id a little test grooming... STH is planning to send two groomers out tomorrow and pan the trails. It is our hope to pack in the trails and let the cold weather freeze up some water. All STH trails are now open! We still have a few gates to open. Please allow us time to get to them. Contact us if you find any hazards. Remember, early season condition with no base. The snow can hide covered hazards like rocks and trees. Ride safe! The best quality riding will be from Barrows Performance Inc. and Highmarket inn north into Turin Ridge Riders Snowmobile Club and Valley Snow Travelers trails. STH Morning Update: Christmas came early for STH. We are exited to report we have had a delivery of new Soucy Track system for one of our tractors. These tracks... Will allow us to groom more effectively and with less repair and breakdown time. We are very excited! We received over a foot of snow in the Highmarket area and only about 5 or 6" in West Leyden. All of the STH except the seasonal roads in the Highmarket area remain closed. If you want to ride today best bet is to stay on seasonal roads and head north from our area towards Montague and Barnes Corners. Awesome clubs like Valley Snow Travelers and Barnes Corners Sno-Pals have been out grooming this weekend! Suggested parking areas on our system include.... Barrows Performance Inc.
