As many of you already know: Today marks a highly auspicious day. It is both the Winter Solstice, and the Grand Conjunction between Jupiter and Saturn, and that... it happens concurrently is certainly no coincidence. My reflection is a considerable one, inasmuch as Jupiter from an ancient perspective was the great benefic and considered to be God; and Saturn - the great malefic - Satan. For them to come together on the longest night of the year emanates a certain apocalyptic tone. Many astrologers believe that a great conjunction is what the Zoroastrian mages were looking for regarding the birth of Christ (i.e. the star of Bethlehem). At the least, this conjunction brings with it a messianic energy. Astrologically, this year has been punctuated with much Capricorn influence which has tested our boundaries, imposed restrictions, increased responsibilities and reduced our comfort zone exponentially. It is the sort of testing and trial that precedes great change, with the emphasis on being tested. But consider any truly meaningful and important change in your life - was it ever not preceded by a time of great chaos and flux? This grand conjunction takes place in Aquarius (at ZERO degrees), and initiates us into a new era of humanity. At this degree, the energy is *potent*, and those heeding wisdom will make the most of it. Its placement in this decan is the call of the wild and the search of the mysterious. It is what lies within you seeking magic. It is the literal sign you may have been waiting for. With it, this conjunction also brings an event known as the Grand Mutation, which occurs only every 200 years, as Jupiter and Saturn are meeting in air, rather than earth, and for the rest of your lives will continue to do so. With all of this, we are all being called into a new paradigm. Those of you who are the outliers - the healers, the sages, the priestesses, the artists, the wild ones - who may not have had much tangible involvement with the truth or clarity of your path or purpose will note this as a call to action. What you have been waiting for has arrived. And for all of us - the key here is to think like the Sphinx and forego consciously (and once and for all) any either/or mentality (whether this is patriarchy vs matriarchy, Trump vs. Biden, mask vs. no mask, me vs. you, et al). It isn't about being wrong or right, it's about rising higher and recognizing that we are being called to something much greater. Right and wrong is the old mindset of duality and brings us to the lessons of neti-neti. It is neither this nor that. To be on either side is to lose, because both insist on a dead perspective. This is the polarity of Love, and yes - we must seek higher in conscious awareness - and if 2020 has shown you nothing else, it has demonstrated just how challenging this is to do in practice. Nevertheless, we persist, and when you feel confused, uncertain or stuck in an old mindset , remember: Acting honorably confers divine protection. I will spend this evening with candles and petitions, and sending the energy of Love and my soul to all of you, my tribe. I have such hope for us, even through the brambles, thickets and thorns. I know that this path is not a well-trod one, and requires our patience an best hearts. I invite you to light a candle tonight for yourself as well, and maybe write a few things you want to be rid of once and for all to mark this auspicious time , and then watch them burn. What you want to create for yourself in these next years, note on another sheet of paper, and meditate upon it. Do utilize this extraordinary energy of Divine Beings and Beginnings.
