Howard Hanna’s HIGHLIGHT OF THE WEEK! Today we had the pleasure of having lunch at Union Street Coffee House! (Formerly known as Café Macchiato-Rebrand in process). Phil Demkos sat down with us to tell us a bit about his business. He has owned Union Street Coffee House for 2 years and this business is in his blood! (You can check out his family’s restaurant Riki’s in Fairport, which his parents have owned for 30 years!)... One of the things that touched us so much about Phil was that he is so grateful to the community. We could not have survived without the support of this Spencerport community. They have shown him and his business so much support that he did not have to close during all of this COVID craziness. If anything, COVID has helped him! With people wanting to get out of their houses but wanting to go somewhere they felt was safe, it brought a new drove of customers to Union Street Coffee House! In light of this, they have been giving back food donations to the local food shelters! How amazing is that!! Head in for something delicious! Phil’s favorites are the Southwest Breakfast Sandwich and a Salted Caramel Latte! They also have AWARD WINNING Baklava! If you are lucky, you might run into regulars Stefano and Vinny enjoying their morning beverages!
