On March 16, 2003 Rachel Corrie was killed. She was a 23 year-old American activist and a member of the pro-Palestinian group International Solidarity Movement. She was crushed to death by an Israel Defense Forces armored bulldozer. She was killed protecting a Palestinian home in Rafah, Gaza from illegal demolition. Her last words were: "We are unarmed. We are no threat to you. Please do not shoot." Israel has never claimed responsibility for her death. Her family created @rachelcorriefoundation where they highlight the truth and support efforts for peace and justice. Take a moment to acknowledge Rachel and her dedication to Palestine. Israel refuses to release Palestinian prisoner, Maher Al-Akhras on ‘verge of death’ after an almost 80 day hunger strike. He has been held in administrative detention since his arrest in July - a policy used by Israel to detain suspected fighters without charge. He is a father of six. His wife, Taghreed voices he is only drinking water and is now too weak to speak. Emergency petition was called for his release. Israel’s Highest Court rejected appeal on Monday’s hearing.
