Group 2 took advantage of the leftover cones from an EVOC course hosted here this week. It's always good to stay sharp, even on our basic skills!

There's a lot going on at St Paul these days! First, a big congratulations to our two newest career firefighters, Eric Bell and Andrew Reddy who started their in-house training today. Eric is a long-time St. Paul Boulevard Fire Association volunteer, reaching the level of Captain before being hired. Andy is certainly no stranger to St. Paul either, as he's served as the daytime Paramedic for our Monroe Ambulance post for many years as well. Both come from long lines of fireme...n in their families and continue to carry on the tradition. They happened to catch a fill-in to Barnard Professional Firefighters Local 4030 on their first shift. When they report to their training academy at North Greece Professional Firefighters Local 3827 next Monday, they'll be joined by Lt. Jay DeWitt who is being reassigned as a full-time instructor there through the end of the year. In his place, acting Lt. Tyler McMahon will lead group 3. Good luck and long, healthy careers to you guys!

As stated below, this is the perfect example of why closing your door while you sleep is one of the best ways to protect you and your family. Fire limited to room of origin.
