The IDEA Center’s Heamchand Subryan is quoted in UBNOW about his work on mRehab, a home-based rehabilitation product for stroke patients. The multi-disciplinary collaborative R&D effort sought to provide a reliable and low cost stroke rehabilitation system. Using a mobile app and 3D printed objects, the system tracks users’ tasks and provides real-time feedback. As part of the ADA30 anniversary, we're excited to share a free short course on the ADA. The course will teach the history of accessibility legislation in the U.S., how the ADA compares to previous legislation, and what architects need to know about how the various regulations affect their projects. #ADA #Accessibility #ADA30

Today is World Mental Health Day. In an effort to support and raise awareness of mental health issues, the IDEA Center would like to highlight a research project by our own Krista Macy, Architectural Research Associate. The findings from her master’s thesis (2017) provide valuable insights on how to incorporate Universal Design in an inpatient psychiatric care setting. Additionally, we would like to remind everyone to focus on their mental well being as we all continue to deal with the ongoing stresses related to Covid-19. #inclusivedesign #universaldesign #mentalhealth #udeverywhere
