Tonight at 7:30pm, the Rev. Eddie Alleyne from Church of The Advent will speak about the virtue of Charity (Love). Canon Bruce Griffith will moderate. The Reverend Eddie Alleyne was born on the island of Barbados, soon to become the Republic of Barbados. After 10 years of ministry in the Diocese of Barbados, Fr. Eddie immigrated to the United States to pursue post -graduate studies at General Theological Seminary and the Blanton Peale Institute. This was at the invitation o...f Professor Margaret Guenther, who was at the time Director of the Center for Christian Spirituality and the Reverend Dr. Paul Hamilton. He has served as a Tutor of Ethics and Citizenship at the Barbados Community College and the St. Michael School, Barbados. After serving for more than 12 years as the Rector of St. Gabriel’s Church, Brooklyn, Eddie accepted a call from Brooklyn to Central Nassau and is now serving as Rector of the Church of the Advent, Westbury.
