Interlaken Historical Society

Stop by Hubbards on main street and see the holiday display in their front windows. Thanks to Marty Schlabach and Mary Jean Welser, and to Hubbards for allowing the interlaken historical society the use of the windows.

Awhile back someone asked if Seneca ever freezes over completely. The last time it did so was 1912, when this was taken.

Two donations recently received. Several sales receipts from the Martin Lumber Co, and three bottle caps from the West Ave. Dairy. If anyone has additional information or pictures on either business we would welcome hearing from you. As always, thank you to those who help us share the history of our community through these gifts.

Stop by the newest Historical Society display at the front window of the Hubbard Heating and Plumbing building, next door to the museum. Take a look back at canning season over the years. The equipment hasn't changed a lot. Thank you Marty and MaryJean for setting up the display, and Hubbard Heating and Plumbing for allowing us to use the window to remember our history.

The Community Life Museum is closed this summer but click on the event post and see some of the items on display.

Our annual summer social july 26 on the library lawn has been regrettable postponed until further notice. Our community life museum will not be opened this year. We do have 3 nice window displays to look at. The farmers museum will be open in August by appointment only.
