We wish you and your loved ones a Happy New Year and hope that 2021 is a joyful and healthy year for all! This January: Pose of the Month is Ardha Chandrasana, Half Moon Pose ... Sutra of the Month is II.5: "Mistaking the transient for the permanent, the impure for the pure, pain for pleasure, and that which is not the self for the self: all this is called lack of spiritual knowledge, avidya. Here is an example of avidya. Iron and coal are two different entitites, but when iron is heated, it becomes red hot and looks like live coal. Similarly, though the body and the eternal Self are distinct entitites, lack of knowledge makes one believe that they are one." - B.K.S. Iyengar, Light on the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali
