This week me and Frankie show a little support to one of my clients, Eric Arshravan. Him and his partner own and run Famous Food Festival and had their last event of the year this weekend. I'm not sure if we went to show support or just to eat a ton of delicious food, but we did both. . Then I head back to the office to follow up with a few people from the SIBEC Conference I attended in Miami to finally try to get the ball rolling on our new product we're developing for the fitness/health club industry. .

This week I head down to Miami, Florida for the 2019 SIBEC Sports & Health Industry Conference. SIBEC is a one-on-one meeting forum for club owners and operators in the health, fitness and wellness industry looking to meet with national and international supplier companies. You get the chance to have up to 22 one-on-one meetings with executives in the fitness industry to network and pitch your products. I also had my first (and last) experience with a juice cleanse....

This week I learned two things that have permanently shaped the way I do business. The first I learned from @ryanserhant and it is called finder, keeper, doer. It is a way to structure your day as a salesman so that you are sure to attack each of your responsibilities (figuring out how to grow your business, deciding where you can/should spend marketing dollars to increase awareness and reach, and getting your ass out there to do what it is you decided you need to do to gro...w your business). . . The second was a huge wake up call as to what it takes to actually get someone’s attention. In my sales career thus far I have always felt more comfortable with the personal approachgoing out and meeting people in person. However, as all salesmen should, I have constantly turned to letters and emails as a way to reach as many potential clients as possible. It’s cheap/free and it allows you to cast a wide net and follow up as often as you can. The problem with this is simply that most people will completely disregard emails or letters from strangers. I hadn’t thought about how to truly grab someone’s attention in an email/letter to set myself apart from the masses. Finally, after reading an article from Ryan Serhant, I decided to take a more thoughtful approach, and the results thus far look extremely positive . . I hope you learn something from this episode just like I did . #salestips #howtosell #salesjourney #sellinginsurance #sellitlikeserhant #finderkeeperdoer #ryanserhant #insurancebroker #brokerlife #insurance #business #entrepreneur #capecod #nibony #fullcoverage @nibony_insurance @jaysonsiano @ryanserhant @sellitlikeserhant @big.elf.silent.disco @cocashel @ewinny @nataliebasque @crichte See more

This week we had a few things happen. One of our clients had a Loss Control Inspection at one of their job sites and we went over there to make sure everything was handled properly. Insurance companies will do a loss control inspection in the beginning of a policy period in order to make sure their new insured is taking proper safety precautions and doing everything they can to avoid negligent claims on their premises, or in this case with a contracting client, at their job s...ites. After we took the hard hats off we met up with a potential new client to go through their insurance programs and see where we can fit into their current structure. The meeting went really well. They brought their Risk Manager to the meeting which is always a good thing to see for a company that large because a) you get to speak to someone who truly understands the insurance risk, and b) you know someone in the organization is keeping an eye on procedures and claims management.
