As the world opens up I’m realizing how deeply this pandemic has affected me. I feel grief, fear, anxiety, trauma, healing, gratitude, joy and hope all at the same time. It’s complicated. Being a Frontline Mental Health Care Worker - hearing all the experiences of fear, sickness and death, helping people survive, grieve and work through trauma - while living through it myself - has been profoundly transformative, awakening and frankly, exhausting. I am changed. My humanity... has deepened. My heart has opened. My soul has evolved. But I need to catch up. Time for some self care. You may be feeling some or all of this and it is OK.
