Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all! 2021 will bring me to 10 years in business and while this past year was by far the toughest...I want to thank all of you for your compassion! Your hope! Your smiles! Without them, BFP would not have made it through! And a special thank you goes out to my incredible couples who, despite the odds, said I DO this year. You guys got it done - hooray for you! - and you got it done with love, laughter, and everything that a wedding ...should and could be. This page has been quiet and when it's quiet you know that I am working hard to get your deliverables to you as soon as is humanly possible. ok! All galleries from last weekend are up and out. I am now working on getting last Monday's sessions up and then it's on to this past Saturday's sessions. Thank you all for you patience! I have received the kindest emails and messages from folks - you guys are the best! Thank you for understanding the enormous amount of work that goes into the turn-around of galleries. And I'm so glad you guys get that. Shooting the sessions are the fun and easy part, lol, for sure! My clients are some of the best people around and am ALWAYS so thankful for you!

UPDATE! I am having some software/equipment issues. I noticed that some of Friday's galleries were missing images....when I did a second upload from the memory card, they all reappeared. Anyone that this affected from Friday has already been contacted. Now it seems it's happening again with Saturday's galleries. I've been working on the issue all day and have done a second download and recovered all of the missing images. I am working on getting Saturdays galleries rewo...rked...which means Sundays galleries will be loaded tomorrow. I used a different memory card for Sunday's and Monday's shoots so I do not expect the same issues, thankfully. I replace any card after 3 years of use whether they need to be replaced or not, just to be safe. This particular card that was used on Friday and Saturday is not even a year old so I am upset that this has happened. It will be discarded after today. As always, thank you al for your patience! All weekend galleries will be delivered by tomorrow afternoon and Monday's galleries will be up on Tuesday. See more

My good buddy Nolan came to see me for his 5th birthday photo-shoot! We were a little behind on it due to reschedules from rain and covid-related issues, but we made it happen AND he brought his new little brother! The theme this year was Rock-n-Roll and the love that his parents have for the band #mxpx! Super awesome! Super cool!

Hey all! By popular demand, I'm doing one more round of School Photos. Tomorrow afternoon from 4-6pm, Friday from 2-3pm (one slot left), and Saturday from 3-5pm. Message me if you are interested! Photos are taken here at my place in Marcy. Each student is photographed 3 ways: full body pose, 3/4 body pose and head and shoulders pose. Parents will receive a link to their child's private proof gallery and may choose which image they want for their package (one pose per package). The chosen image is fulled edited before printing including skin touch up, eye vibrancy, and object removal (lint on shirts, stray hair on face, etc.). I promised more from this session and here it is. This gal contacted me about a sort of legacy photo shoot for her grandmother's 33 year old horse, Festive. As many of you know, I have a long history with horses and will always jump at the chance to work with them/around them. It was wonderful to spend time with Marlen...e and get to know a little bit about her story (and all her fur babies!). We also discovered that somewhere along the way, this handsome gelding had a career in modeling. He really knew how to work it, lol! Sunday thoughts....the photography industry is similar to the fashion industry in the way that there are editing styles that trend every few years just like clothes do. Remember selective coloring? (black and white image with one item in the shot that is colored) That was hot about 10 years ago but now is considered by the majority of photographers to be out-dated. Of course, it may have it's day again as scrunchies were super hot in the 80's and are again now. These days ...there is a big push for a de-saturated background/increased saturation of subject, film-y look. Most of these edits are complimented by wide-angle lenses with story-telling shoots....think lifestyle, movement, not a whole lot of portrait work. I offered this type of shoot/edit to a few clients last year and loved it....but never wanting to pigeon-hole myself into one look I would show them a traditional edit alongside the preset/film edit. I love being able to offer both styles! So here's my little ask for the day.....I've posted one image edited a few different ways. By a show of LIKES, let's see which edit is the most popular! Today I am asking all of my clients for a little grace and patience. It's September and I am traditionally backed-up with senior deadlines and wedding galleries, that is nothing new. But not being able to move forward, to work steadily and diligently, is new. My 3 children are on remote learning for 2 weeks and in-school one week; this rotation will be our schedule for the foreseeable future. We started yesterday. Our internet is awful. It always has been. After years o...f waiting and hoping and listening to promises from our provider that high-speed internet would make it to our section of the road, we still do not have it. Running 3 zoom classrooms and an at-home business has been nothing short of a disaster and we are only on Day 2. I literally have had trouble opening and responding to emails/messages today and my Adobe Cloud is laughing at me; no way is that happening. I have contacted my school for a WiFi hotspot and am doing everything I can to get us up and running together, successfully. If you are waiting on galleries, I am working on it. If you are waiting on a msg/email response, I am working on it. This is a very difficult path that we, as parents and students, are on. Everything is new and confusing and to couple it with less then stellar internet, a NECESSARY tool, is beyond frustrating. Tears have flowed from my kids and from me today. Hello all and Happy 2020! Yesterday was supposed to be my return to work after my 2019 Christmas Vacation but after fighting a severe virus/cold since 2 days after Christmas (and then pushing through and enjoying the NYE holiday more than I should have) I was told yesterday I have walking pneumonia with a bonus ear infection!
