Meditation is not just about reducing stress. It’s about discovering the meaning of your life. For Buddha’s teachings to affect us deeply they need to touch our heart. One Saturday a month we will have a special opportunity to go deeper in our experience of meditation. Each monthly retreat will include two teachings and guided meditations on a specific topic taken from Buddha’s Lamrim teachings. January 18: Shelter from the Storm Meditations on Going for Refuge. BOUNDLESS MIND, BOUNDLESS POSSIBILITY A HALF-DAY RETREAT IN WILLIAMSBURG THIS SATURDAY with Ashley Wolverton... How big is your mind? A two-foot square? The size of a small house? As big as Manhattan? None of those. Your mind is boundless. The scope of your awareness has no limits whatsoever. But we rarely if ever relate to it this way. And what a shame that is. In this half-day course we are going to dive into a liberating meditation known as Clarity of Mind, in which we come to experience the vastness and utter flexibility of our own mind. We’re not stuck in a small box at all. We all have the capacity to demolish this sense of limitation. The result? A level of freedom and well-being that we most likely have never before experienced. Visit: https://www.meditationinwilliamsburg.org//boundless-mind-b for more information. Everybody welcome.

It's easy for us to go through our whole lives without ever really examining what we believe about what causes happiness and what causes suffering. In this video, Gen Kelsang Menla reminds us why it's so important that we ask these questions of ourself, because our answers will shape our entire lives. Everyone welcome to attend any or all of the events this weekend: https://meditationinnewyork.org/menla-nyc/
