Lots of celebrating going on at the Center this week as we lead up to Christmas...cookie sales, ugly sweater day, decorating, and our annual Christmas Luncheon - with a special visit by Mrs. Claus!

The LECOB Sugar and Spice Cookie sale is in full swing. A great holiday treat for someone special. DECEMBER 15 - DECEMBER 17 from.10am to 3:30pm.

Join us Thursday, October 28th at 12:45 when for $10 you will paint your own Stary Nights in the Cosmos cards. Have your pick of stars to wish upon! These are fun & easy to paint cards. Simply follow Alice's step by step instructions in this fun paint-along as you create your own Universe. We will have most all the supplies you need to paint 1, possibly 2 cards. Supplies you need to bring: ... 1. Yourself, dressed in old clothes (you never know when an accidental spill or spatter might take place). 2. An empty jar or glass to fill with water to clean the brushes and activate the Water colour paints. 3. A smile and willingness to have fun with paint. But know that this card is a never fail, though it may not turn out exactly as you had thought it would. Water colour sometimes has a mind of its own. Delight in it. See more

Judi Pullman our venerated fitness instructor of 21 years, is retiring. Judi has been more than an instructor to her students, and she will be sorely missed. Good-Luck Judi! Big John will be taking over Judi’s strength classes. He has Judi’s seal of approval, so you can feel confident in his instruction.

Legislator Josh Lafazan came for a visit to the Center to speak with our members about his continual support of the senior population and the improvements he'd like to see for them on Long Island. Josh is a frequent visitor to the Center and the seniors were happy to meet with him again.

A few highlights from Tuesday's Open Mic Night LIVE at LECOB. The format includes music, poetry and visual arts! The Live Open Mic hosted by Ken Krummenacker & Barbara Garriel takes place the 3rd Tuesday of the month in the cafeteria. Come and join the fun.

October Birthday Celebration at the Center. Happy birthday to our members!

This is a great event for the Oyster Bay community. Come down to the street fair tomorrow and support local businesses.

Today we celebrated Columbus Day at The Center...a delicious Italian lasagna prepared by Chef Anthony with live music during lunch by entertainer Tony Grant performing Italian classics for all to enjoy!
