Research studies found sound from wind turbines have ‘established no adverse health effects,’ said Peter Thorne, a professor and head of the University of Iowa’s Department of Occupational and Environmental Health. Claims of adverse health effects caused by wind turbines are neither supported by scientists nor by medical experts.

Wind energy is not only one of the cheapest sources of electricity, it’s one of the safest. Help New York’s next generation grow up healthy by keeping harmful pollutants out of the air they breathe and the water they drink.

The Environmental Health Sciences Research Center has collaborated with the Iowa Policy Project to debunk some of the health-related myths surrounding wind energy.
