We heard back from the fire investigators and it was determined that the Dewalt battery/charger was the cause of the fire that burned down our garage and shop. ...We heard from firefighters & so many other people that this is not uncommon & it's not just Dewalt. All brands have the same issue, so this is our PSA: DON'T LEAVE YOUR CORDLESS DRILL BATTERY ON THE CHARGER AFTER IT'S CHARGED. It was a new battery (within last 6 months) and the flex volt charger. We only had it on the charger for 5 hours. See more

***WARNING**** The Ohio Fire Chiefs Association is alerting their members this morning that over the weekend there was a Firefighter involved shooting on I-270 at Broad Street in Columbus. The victim was driving a vehicle with Firefighter plates and window stickers. The suspect pulled alongside the victim, yelling obscenities regarding Police Officers and Firefighters, then fired a shot at the vehicle, striking him in the arm.... A MESSAGE OF CAUTION/AWARENESS to Firefighters everywhere to be vigilant, alert and aware. BE SAFE

Due to Coronavirus 19 spread, restrictions and mandates, the Knapp Creek Volunteer Fire Dept Annual ATV Dice Run is cancelled for September 2020. We feel compe...lled to act safely on behalf of our members, volunteers, vendors and riders. We thank you for your previous support in making this a top notch fundraiser for our department, enabling us to provide Fire, EMS and Rescue services for Knapp Creek and the surrounding communities. The 2021 ATV Dice Run is scheduled and plans are in effect for the September 18, 2021 event.
