A Message from Downtown Artist Cellar Bloom is a verb and means to flourish, to shine, to become more apparent and more fully expressed. As we continue to brave the pandemic and the impact on our community and ourselves.how will we flourish? Bloom exhibit’s featured artist, Jeanne Danforth describes her work as nailing the essence of the ordinary. It is in the everyday ordinary, mundane and familiar that we will find our support and inspiration to BLOOM. BLOOM is open ...to all artists and mediums. Including: photography, sculpture, painting, drawing, fiber, ceramics, woodcrafts, jewelry, prints & constructions. Artwork must be framed and wired for hanging with the theme of all things that bloom. Artwork will be featured in the gallery as well as on the website beginning January 29th. Work should be delivered to DAC on by January 26th by appointment accompanied by a $30 non- refundable entry fee for up to 3 entries. Make check payable to Downtown Artist Cellar. Alternately, photos of the artwork can be submitted online by January 26th if the artist chooses to only show the work on the website. The entry fee remains the same. Some MRF volunteers had fun today sorting toys,games, puzzles, dolls technology and kids’ craft sets at Holiday Helpers! MRF added 25 sets of pajamas to the ef...fort. Corrections volunteers delivered the bags to the K of C building and we started ripping open bag after bag sorting by age/gender. As the number is great this year more donations are still needed.
