Manitou School

The third graders have been studying habitats and created dioramas, crafted food chains and food webs, and wrote paragraphs about what they learned. It was lovely to share our work with students at Manitou and talk about our projects.

Today was the first (and we hope many more) all school Read-A-Thon. The children set reading goals, collected sponsorships and read. We read favorite chapter books, read picture books to each other across grades and shared original poems.

Our middle schoolers are on a mission! They spent Earth Day visiting with each of the younger classes to discuss how we can take care of the planet every day at Manitou! Through small choices like composting and reducing our use of plastic, and also learning about environmental policy on a larger scale, we can express our love for nature and the world around us! #earthday #environmentaleducation

Mr. Adam's class celebrated Black History month by researching, and painting portraits of African Americans.
