Association of Mary, Queen of All Hearts 13.07.2021

From the Current Publication of The Queen: May - June 2021: Wrapped in Silence The well-instructed Catholic who is familiar with the biblical references to the Blessed Virgin Mary (see the note below) and who is equally conversant with her prominent role in the drama of redemption finds no problem at all in regard to Our Lady and Sacred Scripture.... For non-Catholic Christians, however, there appears a serious problem. The problem is perhaps the greatest hindrance to their acknowledgment of Our Lady’s extraordinary prerogatives and her essential role in our soul-life. This problem is the discrepancy they perceive between the alleged dearth of biblical information about Our Lady and the tremendous influence she now bears on Catholic theology and life. In those religious circles where tradition is denied its place as part of Divine Revelation, and where the covers of the Bible are the limits of a sect’s creed and cult, Our Lady is often denied the special prerogatives which Catholics love to honor in her. Her glorious privileges are dismissed as biblically unfounded innovations. Mary’s Privileges Such should not be the case. Although it is true that many Catholic beliefs concerning the Mother of God depend largely upon Tradition, it is equally true that Mary’s eminent sanctity and transcendent excellence as well as the basic reasons for her importance to us, are clearly declared by the Evangelists. It would be enough indeed that Mary is proclaimed the Mother of Jesus. But there is more much more. Read more in Wrapped in Silence! Please note: In the next publication of The Queen, there will be a series of articles focusing on Mary In The Gospel of St. Luke: The Annunciation. Look for it it in July - August.

From the Current Publication of The Queen: Living Our Baptism: Part III: Temple of the Holy Spirit: In his early years as a priest. Father de Montfort could not find his role. For some months he gave himself to the poor in La Salpétriére hospital Paris, until a note at his place at table told him to leave. He then lodged in a hovel under a staircase from where he wrote to Mademoiselle Louise Trichet. He is really hurt and feels that everyone’s hand is against him.... This reads as a young man’s complaint as he almost universalizes his own particular situation. In his attempt to live for God alone he meets opposition and frustration. This he knows he must meet ‘the retinue of divine Wisdom’ as he tries to follow Jesus. Although his situation is far from stable, the changing circumstances do not mean a changing Christ. Although he is lodged under a staircase in a slum, he knows that the spirit of Christ lodges in him. It is this reality, coming from the sacrament of baptism, to which he holds. His upset and depression lifts as he prays to understand what is happening to him. A series of questions attempts to assimilate life and faith: When shall I possess this loveable and mysterious Wisdom? When will Wisdom come to live in me? When shall I be sufficiently equipped to serve as a place of rest for Wisdom in a world where he is rejected and without a home? Who will give me this bread of understanding with which Wisdom nourishes great souls? When shall I be crucified and lost to the world? (Letter 16). In our everyday lives, we face the weight of the world at times. What lessons can we draw from Fr. de Montfort? He knows that the spirit of Jesus/Wisdom lives within him. How he wishes to make the wonder of that insight truly his own? He wants to be genuinely Christian so that everyday experience dovetails with what he knows of God through faith. His present lodging is poor but the Guest who has made his home within him is rich. Read more about The Temple of God in this article.

From the Special Devotional Series to Mary: Special Devotional Media for May 9th: Our Lady, Vessel of Devotion and Mystical Rose... The Goal of this Special Devotional Series is for all of us to know Mary and to know who she is in the Eyes of God and in the Eyes of the Church. The goal is for us also to know her more personally. As we come to her, we will grow in confidence and grow in the love for her. The Special Devotional Series is taking a spiritual journey, exploring the titles the Church recognizes for Mary. The prayer, Litany of Loreto has been prayed for hundreds of years, and likely goes back to the early Church days. Some of Mary’s titles are either mysterious, or confusing in these modern days. The last few conferences explore The Virginity of Mary and Cause of Our Joy. Today’s focus is on four titles, which at first seem mysterious and requires a bit of work on our part to understand. These four titles of Vessel of Devotion include: Spiritual Vessel Vessel of Singular Devotion Vessel of Honor Mystical Rose Spiritual Vessel The conference focuses on the initial three titles first. In the conference, the vessels of a priest are utilized as a visual aid. It contains the chalice used in the celebration of Holy Mass. The box is used to keep the vessels safe, because of the service in which they are utilized. The dignity of the vessel is set apart to be utilized in the Divine Mysteries. They must be protected, and cherished as they are set aside for this divine service. The audio goes on and compares the vessels with Mary. Mary is a vessel we must cherish as well, as she is precious for the divine service she performed and still performs. Mary is dedicated to the Will of God, and has a heavenly focus. A chalice is made for a priest, blessed and consecrated for the service he performs and the divine service the vessel performs. The audio examines the parallelism with Mary. Unlike the chalice, Spiritual Vessel (Mary) has a will, mind and heart. Mary rejoices in what she does in the service of the Lord. Hear more about this title and what it implies as we pray to Mary. Read about the remaining titles. Listen to these four titles within this conference and meditate on this Vessel of Devotion and Mystical Rose.

From the Special Devotional Series to Mary: Devotional Media for May 7th: The Virginity of Mary... This conference’s focus is on The Virginity of Mary. Specifically, the conference focuses on the meaning of Virgin of Virgins. In scripture, the issue of virginity is important and it gives a clear and compelling voice by the prophet Isaiah. The Lord Himself shall give you a sign. Behold a Virgin Shall Conceive and Bear a Son This is remarkable. The Lord Himself will give the great sign. Deeper than the underworld and higher than the glory of heaven, He gives this great sign. It is a sign that salvation has come! The audio explains the glory of this sign more fully. The Perpetual Virginity of Mary The Perpetual Virginity of Mary, is the doctrine that Mary, the Mother of Jesus Christ, was a Virgin before, during and after the birth of Christ. It is one of the four Marian dogmas of the Catholic Church. Many people, even many Christians, question the fact that Mary is a Virgin before and during the birth of Christ, and throughout her marriage. This is odd that many people would feel this way. St. Louis de Montfort often called the Incarnation the Greatest of all Mysteries. It is when Our Lord empties Himself and enters the world through The Woman. Our Lord God becomes human to save the world. Of all the ways He could have accomplished this, He chose to do this Through Mary. This fact is so amazing and almost incomprehensible that Almighty God would chose to enter the world in such a way. By the fact we say The Creed during the Mass, all Christians confirm their belief in this miracle of salvation. We believe in God and how He enters the world, but many people have a hard time believing The Perpetual Virginity of Mary. How is it that we have no problem believing the incomprehensible miracle of the Incarnation of God cloaking Himself as the Word becomes Flesh, but we pause on a lesser miracle of the Perpetual Virginity of Mary? Hear more about this Perpetual Virginity in the audio. It is important to understand this fact. Why is it important? Hear more about the amazing Mystery of the Incarnation. Hear more in this conference on The Virginity of Mary.

From the Special Devotional Series to Mary: Devotional Media for May 6: Holy Mary, Mother of God... Holy Mary. After turning toward Mary and calling her by name (Holy Mary), the Litany explores her further. Who is this Mary? She is in fact the Holy Mary, Mother of God. She is the Holy Virgin of Virgins. The audio’s focus is on the Maternity or the Motherhood of Our Lady. Holy Mary, Mother of God. Consider her dignity because of the greatness of her Son. She is not just proud of her Son. What mother has a dignity or greatness as Mary? Only one person was the Mother of God. Of all mothers, there is only one that claims this title. It was the Lord’s desire to depend upon Mary and come to the world Through Mary, With Mary, In Mary and By Mary. Hear more in the audio.

From the Meditations for the Week Section: The Leper and Obedience to the Lord: Lessons For Us! St. Mark’s Gospel, whose symbolism is the lion, is in part because the lion has a thirst for the blood of the heart. St. Mark shows the Lord moving dramatically and swiftly. In the reading of Jesus willing the leper to be clean, there are several lessons and is important for us as well.... In this reading, the leper first comes to Jesus. At the time, lepers had to remain away from all and even announce their uncleanness if anyone gets too close. The leper recognizes something about Jesus and goes to Jesus, even though according to worldly terms, he should not approach. As he approaches the Lord, he says something powerful. Lord, if you will it, you can make me clean. Note the faith and confidence. It is not a sense of desperation. It is faith. But what we hear next is also shocking. Jesus does not simply say I do will it. Jesus reaches out and touches this man. Touching a leper is not permitted. Touching a leper risks the very high chance of contracting and spreading this disease. Yet, Jesus touches the unclean. He doesn’t just clean the man, but He touches him as well. What does this tell us today? Jesus says to us that there is nothing within us that can make Jesus unclean. There is nothing about you that places Me at risk. There is nothing in this world that Jesus must protect Himself. The law says not to touch, but Jesus is not afraid to do so. Obedience to the Lord If the reading ended there with the cleansing, we would have a mediation piece. However, there is more to this reading. Do not say anything to anyone, but go perform the offering. Show yourself to the priest. Reestablish yourself as a healthy member of the community. The Lord says one thing, and yet the man does the opposite. The leper did not do what the Lord said after he was made clean. He was not obedient. Listen to what obedience means for us in this example. Hear this audio and listen to the lessons for us! Listen to the Lord’s Proclamation. Hear how this obedience lesson impacts the Gospel and impacts our own spiritual life.

From the Meditation For the Week Media Section: The One Begotten from God, Does Not Sin Today’s scripture is an example where one should not approach what is said too narrowly.... The one begotten from God, does not sin. We are begotten from God, and the Lord knows too well, we sin. If we zero in on a single verse from scripture, we may miss what Our Lord is actually telling us. So what does reading this passage imply for us? The one begotten from God, does not sin. What does this actually mean? St John talks about sin, at first glance, in a peculiar way. If you see your brother sinning . And it is not deadly Pray for him. So what does that mean, and how does it help us understand the first passage? St. John is communicating something, that might not be discovered if we read scripture in a shallow way. Praying for your brother has everything to do with ones relationship with the Lord. All wrong doing is sin. However, some sins are not deadly. All wrong doing is sin says St. John. Sin, in some way, cuts us off from the Lord. It closes us off to receiving grace. It damages our relationship with the Lord. But not all sin is completely destructive. St. John is saying we must be concerned with asking the Lord for forgiveness. Not only for ourselves, but for everyone who is not behaving appropriately. St. John is saying when you see your brother sinning, pray for him/her so they may be forgiven. Pray so they be restored back to life. And who is your brother? Your fellow members of the Church the Body of Christ. Pray for Forgiveness: For Yourselves and For Your Brothers Something dies within us when we sin. Pray for your forgiveness. Ask for the forgiveness of your brothers, so that life may be restored. Pray for your brother so that the fullness of life that has been given by God, may be restored. Pray not only that his heart changes. But pray that he may be strengthened and made new again. Some sin, says St. John is deadly. What this means is this type of sin needs more than our praying for them. That is why there is a sacrament of reconciliation. Don’t ignore your private prayer for the one that commits a deadly sin. But this type of sin also requires the prayer of the Church. Listen to more on praying for forgiveness according to St. John. So, getting back to the first passage. The one begotten from God, does not sin. St. John doesn’t speak about someone who never sins. He does not speak about someone who never does wrong. He speaks of the one begotten by God, that never wants to remain in the state of sin. Understand the difference. Listen to this audio. Hear more on this bible passage. Listen intently about how sin impacts our relationship with God. Hear more on the topic on how to restore life and the graces of God. Listen and meditate on this media, and let it impact your own Spiritual Life.

Meditation for the Week: The Baptism of the Lord Merry Christmas!... Today we celebrate the end of the Christmas Season. The Church also celebrates the Baptism of the Lord. There are a number of surprises, and a number of wonderful and shocking elements in the Mystery celebrated this day the Baptism of the Lord. We celebrate His Baptism in the Jordan River by His cousin St. John the Baptist. In St. Mark’s Gospel, he says the Heavens are torn. The Heavens are torn open when Jesus comes up from the water. We often do not focus on this aspect of the Mystery. Note the wording. Its not that the Heavens are open. The Heavens were torn open. Note again the wording. The Baptism is unique in the history of the world and like no other time. This is remarkable! What does that mean and why is it significant? The Feast of the Baptism brings to an end the Christmas Season. It begins Ordinary or Ordered time in the liturgical year. It is the Ordered time, according to the public workings of Jesus Christ. There is a change or transition in the way the Church prays. The End of Our Lord’s Hidden Life It also brings to an end the Hidden life of Our Lord. From his birth to the time of His Baptism 30 years is referred to His Hidden Life. When Jesus was in Heaven, before His birth, the world did not know His name. He was hidden. He first comes into the world, hidden in the womb of Our Lady. Heaven and Earth are touched with His goodness. Yet, He is hidden from the world. Hear more about the Lord’s Hidden Life. On this day He is no longer hidden. He proceeds from Mary to the world and becomes known. Hear more about the Baptism of the Lord and how it impacts our lives today. Listen to this Gospel and Homily. Hear more within this Meditation Media: the Baptism of the Lord. NB: At the end of the Homily, there is a 3 part blessing of the Holy Water made available to the attendees at the Shrine of Our Lady. This blessing starts approximately: 20:30 mark of the audio.

From Vol. #7: The Queen: Celebrating Mary From his broad experience with souls and the fickleness of human nature, Fr. de Montfort saw the need of a solid devotion that would anchor souls, so to speak, in the very heart of Mary and thereby assure their final perseverance.
